Introducing DocZeno: a document scanner that keeps your files on your phone
· doczeno, privacy, announcement
Most scanner apps want an account, upload your pages to a server and lock basic features behind a cloud subscription. DocZeno takes the opposite approach: everything happens on your phone.
What it does
- Scan documents, receipts, ID cards, books, business cards and whiteboards, with automatic edges, cropping and cleanup.
- Recognise text on the device. Copy it, share it, or save searchable PDFs.
- Find any word across everything you’ve scanned, with folders, tags and smart names.
- Turn receipts and invoices into data. Merchant, date, totals, tax and line items, ready to export as CSV or JSON.
- Finish PDFs:
- merge, split, compress and rotate;
- lock with a password, sign and fill forms;
- redact, and add watermarks or page numbers.
- Keep sensitive files in a Private Vault, encrypted and opened with Face ID or a fingerprint.
Why on-device matters
Your documents are often the most personal files you have: IDs, contracts, medical letters, receipts. With DocZeno:
- there’s no account;
- there’s no cloud storage;
- text recognition and data extraction run on the phone itself.
A document leaves your device only when you choose to share or export it. Read the details in the privacy policy.
Free, with an optional Pro
DocZeno is free to download, with ads. DocZeno Pro removes the ads and unlocks:
- search inside documents;
- Smart Extract;
- the Private Vault;
- the advanced PDF tools.
DocZeno is coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. Follow this blog or check the DocZeno page for the launch.
